At Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast in  Queensland, I am selected from the motley visitors, don an airman’s cap and bomber jacket, have to perform a few salutes and “pretending I’m in the armed forces” routine in front of the crowds, then ascend into the cockpit of an original bomber plane, and “fly” off into battle. Then, waving with a broad smile to the camera (the motion picture of which is projected onto a giant screen for the audience), the plane suffers a direct hit and I am blown into bits. Star material!
